Speed Limit ("the App") displays your current driving speed and the posted speed limit for the road you are on. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is used.
The App uses your device's GPS to determine your current speed and position. Your location is used to look up the speed limit of nearby roads via third-party services (HERE Technologies and OpenStreetMap/Overpass API). Location data is sent directly from your device to these services in real time and is not stored, collected, or transmitted to any server owned or operated by us.
We do not collect, store, or share any personal data. The App does not have user accounts, analytics, or tracking of any kind. No data leaves your device except the location queries described above.
The App sends your approximate location (latitude and longitude) to the following services solely to retrieve speed limit information:
If you grant background location permission, the App continues to access your location while running in the background to maintain speed and speed limit updates. This data is processed on your device and is not stored or shared.
The App does not store any location history, trip data, or personal information on your device or externally.
The App does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
